In our quest to find a good bug remover to clean the front cap with, we tried the Thetford Bug and Black Streak Remover. It works well to get bugs and good for the black streaks. Doesn't take too much effort or scrubbing to get it clean either.
Now, if only putting on a good wax were as easy! Has anybody tried the waxes that use Teflon? I wonder if it will make it easier to remove bugs in the future.

I buy a product called "awesmon" at the Dollar Store.
It costs .99 and it removes most anything. It is great on black
streaks, bugs, mold, mildew. If it is available in your area
I highly recommend it. It comes in a 20oz btl full strength. Cleaning
dilution guide on the bottle. Good stuff...

Thanks! I'll have to look for it....it's a lot cheaper than the Thetford products.

The best thing I recommend that is easy to put on, just wipe off, that make a beautiful shine, lasts one year and makes easy cleaning off of dirt, tar, bugs or most anything else is: "Nu Finish Polish" available most anywhere polish or waxes are sold. I also find it safe to use on most anything.
I use to detail all types of vehicles. I never recommend any waxes. If you think about it, waxes all melt or soften then collect dirt and grime. Polishes last much longer and do not melt, as they have a hard dry coat finish. This save you time by having to only do it once a year.
As an added note: Use "Rain X" inside and outside on all your windows and windshield for your safety and easy cleaning mainteance.
NOTE: Always read and follow the directions on all product labels before using.

| We spray and spread a coating of WD-40 on the front of our fifth wheel and the bugs wash off easily. Dealer prep guys suggested it.
